Ali was awarded a Charles Ives Scholarship Award from the American Academy of Arts and Letters. He holds a Master’s Degree in Music Composition from the University of Southern California and is currently a Ph.D. candidate at Brandeis University.

Violinist
Ali Can Puskulcu is a classically trained violinist. Accolades include his solo debut performances at Carnegie Hall and Lincoln Center in New York City. Ali has also performed with orchestras, chamber ensembles, and in recitals in the USA, Germany, and Turkey.

Composing works in multiple genres allows Ali to pursue all creative outlets and musical channels. Art installations, audiovisual performances, and multimedia works are one of the musical genres that continue to influence and inspire Ali’s musical compositions.

As a Turkish-American composer, Ali’s background and creative spectrum encompass a wide range of genres. Ali’s musical career began as a classical violinist. But his interest in composition began at an early age, with his first composition for orchestra being completed when he was just 13 years old.
Ali’s works include pieces for solo artists, sinfonietta, chamber ensembles, and chorus, as well as audiovisual and multimedia works. Video art installations, improvisations, and live performances round out Ali’s composition portfolio.
